One of the most exciting entertainment options popular during the Swing Era was live dance performances. The colour and the glamour of the stage, combined with the flying, whirling, hopping Lindy Hoppers, tap dancers, Jazz dancers and more.

Swing City is happy to be able to play host to three fantastic performing groups during the course of the festival. Two of the dance troupes, the Jiving Lindy Hoppers and the Rhythm Hot Shots, are the only two professional Swing dance companies existing in the world today. Both are renowned for their colour, excitement and skill on the dance floor.

The Nomades dance company offers another percepective of the Swing Era with its contemporary look at Swing. The company's skill and love of experimentation and innovation are bound to have audiences captivated and, despite the modern setting, these traits are shared with the dance itself - a dance built around experimentation, innovation and energy.
